My little Astros fan!
The pink cheerleader's outfit is 12month size- my little chunky monkey! The old school orange and blue outfit was mine when I was a baby! Thanks Mom and Dad for saving it!! GO ASTROS! Here's to a GREAT season! =)

First night in her crib!
Avery slept in her crib for the very first time last night! She has outgrown her pack and play bassinet. The weight limit is 15 lbs, unless you put her all the way down and I'm not comfortable with that (it's too close to the floor!) so it was time for her to move to her crib. Finally!
When we moved into our house last November Billy spent a lot of time setting up the nursery- painting etc. Well, we already had the crib set up and we realized it wouldn't fit through the hallway into her room. So poor Billy had to take it apart to get it in her room and then put it back together.
Well, as you know, Avery is only 4 months old. I am so not ready for her to be sleeping in her own room yet. Plus, to decrease the chance of SIDS they say to have your baby sleep in your room at least until they are 6 months. So, poor poor Billy had to take the crib apart AGAIN and put it back together after he moved it into our room. We're thinking she'll just sleep in our room until we move again! LOL
She slept so well! The transition didn't upset her sleep cycle at all and she still slept through the night.

Let's Party!
Yesterday, Avery attended her first party! One of Billy's friend's daughter turned one and they had her party at this beautiful park. It was so much fun! Everyone thought Avery was adorable. She was hamming it up and smiling at everyone. She is such a good baby, we were there for at least 4 hours and she didn't fuss once!

Tummy Time!!
Avery is getting so much better during her tummy time. For those of you that don't know, you are supposed to do tummy time with your baby so they can develop muscles in their necks and back. Since babies no longer are allowed to sleep on their stomachs we do tummy time during their wakeful times in order to build these muscles. She used to hate it, she would just lay there with her head turned to the side and then start crying. Now, she loves it! She started doing push ups and lifting her head so high. Next she will be rolling over!
I bought her a Tiny Love playmat and she has been having fun with it. She lays on her back and tries to bring the hanging toys to her mouth or just looks around. When I put her on her tummy she looks at the lights and tries to grab them. I cannot believe how fast she learns things! She has begun grabbing toys and bringing them to her mouth. She hasn't exactly mastered this yet, but she will any day now!
She has quite the little personality now and she is just so much fun to be with. I am so lucky that Billy has made it possible for me to stay home with her. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!

Ear Infection =(
So after Avery was fussing and crying for two days straight I decided it was time to go see her doctor. Luckily, her pedi's office is open on Saturdays so I took her Saturday morning. The doctor was awesome (our regular one wasn't there) and she confirmed that Avery did in fact have an ear infection in both ears. I had to hold her down as she dug in her ears to take a better look and my poor little girl was crying so hard she started hyperventilating. It was so awful.
I gave her tylenol as soon as we got home and started her on her antibiotics. She is already feeling SO much better. My happy little girl is returning!! I just hope she doesn't have ear infections like I did as a child. I had them so much I had to have tubes put in, then the tubes caused a problem and I had to have surgery in the 3rd grade!
I think Avery may be starting her 4 month wakeful stage. She has started waking up around 6am to eat and sometimes she is up for the day. I am not used to this because she used to wake up at 8am to eat then go back to sleep until 11am! Oh well, she is still sleeping from 10pm-6am and that is a lot more sleep than most mothers I know are getting!
Her latest updates: She weighs 15 lbs 1 oz and is 24 1/2 inches long. She has doubled in weight since birth!! She has also started blowing raspberries! Spit goes flying and she makes the funniest face. It is adorable.
Billy and I still can't get over how lucky we are to be her parents!

This is tough.
Since yesterday Avery has not been a happy camper. I miss my easy going happy girl. She has continuously cried and cried. I rock her, walk around with her, put her in her swing and sometimes it works for a little bit but not for long. I'm guessing she is going through a growth spurt (I've heard the 3 month one is hard) but I keep taking her temperature in case it is something else. She finally just fell asleep right next to me and I hope she sleeps for awhile since she hasn't napped all day. I just hope this ends soon!

3 months old!
Wow, time really flies. I cannot believe Avery is 3 months old today. She is halfway to being a half year old! She doesn't have her next doctor appointment until next month so I don't have her height and weight. I think she is getting close to 15 lbs though! She is developing such a personality! She is extremely happy in the mornings, she can't stop smiling. It's the greatest thing to wake up too! Don't let her fool you though- she has quite the temper. If she doesn't like the way you are holding her, she will let you know! She is still too cute, even when she is mad. She is also getting a lot more control over her hands. She grabs things now and soon she will be able to hold and play with toys! It is truly a joy to be able to watch her grow and Billy and I can't get over how blessed we are to be her parents.
