4 Month Appointment

Avery had her 4 month appointment on Monday and it went great! She is 16lbs 4 oz and 26 inches long. She is in the 95th percentile for height and weight and 70th for her head. This means that she is bigger than 95% of babies her age!! Her pedi was very impressed with her growth and development. She had to get two shots and an oral dose of medicine. She only cried for about 30 seconds. Thank God Billy was there with me, because I hate to see her in pain! She has a hemangioma on her back (some people call it a strawberry) and since it has gotten bigger, deeper and has changed in appearance, we have decided to see a specialist. The pedi says she is not worried, but for my peace of mind she gave us a referral. We won't be able to get in to see this specialist for at least 3 months, but when we do I will update. You are supposed to start your baby on cereal between 4-6 months. After discussing it with the pedi we have decided to wait until at least 5 months to start Avery. I have started giving her a spoon to play with and get used too so hopefully she will be ready! She is changing so much every day and Billy and I are so lucky to have her. She has quite the personality now and I am so in love.
